Atlus had their Shin Megami Tensei panel tonight, and sure enough, they have announced that Persona 4 for the PS2 will be coming to North America. According to Siliconera’s Spencer, who attended the panel, the game will be released on December 9th as a two disc boxed set with selected songs. June is pretty much over, so you know what that means! Correct, it’s time for another Atlus USA production diary. This one is all about the localization of Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns. Apparently, translating the game was easy, but the QA process was an absolute nightmare. Just look at the statistics they provided in the diary!

That’s right, Atlus USA will serve as the exclusive North American distributor for three of NIS America’s games: Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice, Disgaea DS, and Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure. The two companies have had a good relationship, so this just more good news. Release dates are also confirmed, Disgaea 3 will come August 26th, and Disgaea DS / Rhapsody will be released on September 23rd. Read on for the PR and official boxarts.

Atlus USA has just sent out notice that they’ll be holding a special event at Anime Expo this year: a panel about the Shin Megami Tensei series. If you’re in the Los Angeles area on July 5th, you can take part and hear longtime voice actors (including Yuri Lowenthal) and other members of Atlus discuss this unique RPG series. Attendance is limited to 500 people, and everyone that can make it gets a special gift! Read on to see the invite.

Atlus just sent out word to remind us that Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard, the sequel to the FOE-filled DS dungeon crawler, is now available. This new entry improves on the original by adding more classes, skills, and it even enhanced the well known mapping system. If you’re interested in exploring some mysterious dungeons and not afraid of the deadly FOEs, then be sure to look for the game this week.

Atlus USA has just announced some depressing news; Zoids Assault, one of the three SRPGs they’re publishing for the Xbox 360, has suffered a bit of a delay. The game was originally scheduled for an August release, but it will now hit store shelves on September 9th. To try and calm down outraged gamers, Atlus has released some new screenshots of the game. Maybe these will hold your attention for a while.

Just as we suspected, Atlus’ mystery game is Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone for the PSP. Originally released for the GBA, Sting has moved it over to Sony’s little handheld, with a few additions. The game sports higher quality artwork and sound, a widescreen aspect ratio, English and Japanese voiceovers, new characters, and more. The game is set to hit on September 16th. After a lengthy wait and a great amount of praying, Atlus USA brought over Persona 3: Fes to the US and gave it a cheap price point to boot. Those that already purchased the original wouldn’t have their wallet hit too hard, and those that missed out or were unsure could get it easily. This review will mainly focus on the new chapter included.
