Ever wonder how Bethesda is implementing the “RPG” part of “action RPG” in Fallout 3? Adam Sessler from X-Play recently interviewed Todd Howard, Bethesda’s Executive Producer, to ask just that. Howard explains the changes as the company went from a game like Oblivion to the post-nuclear war-torn world of Fallout 3 and some of the RPG elements they’re incorporating into the game. When we reported on the Fallout 3 Amazon Survival bundle the other day, one crucial detail was left out. Non-Americans will not be able to order it through Amazon. Your best bet is to contact a friend of yours in the states, or keep wishing that Bethesda and Amazon recognize Canada as a necessary outlet! Continue Reading

We already know that you can get the Collector’s Edition of Fallout 3 and get a snazzy lunchbox filled to the brim with bonuses. Now we know if you pre-order either version at GameStop you get a 5-track disc and a Brotherhood of Steel poster. Bethesda has announced that the composer for the upcoming Fallout 3 is none other than Inon Zur, the man behind the score of Fallout Tactics and Baldur’s Gate II. Whether or not the fact that he’s worked his charm on webisodes like Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side and Iron Man makes you more excited, it’ll be interesting to see how it turns out. PR and a link to some samples of Fallout 3’s music after the break.

Oh, Bethesda, why must you reveal a collector’s edition that destroys almost all special editions before it? Well, GameStop now has a page up for the CE of the game, and for just $20 more ($79.99 360/PS3, $69.99 PC), you get the Vault Boy bobble head, a Making of Fallout 3 DVD, Art of Fallout 3 book, and of course the game too (all in a Vault-Tec lunch box). Check past the break for the link to the page.
