Yes, console owners, looks like you have another reason to make use of your PC. In an interview with Joystiq, Jay Wilson, Diablo 3’s lead designer, stated that there are no plans to release the game on consoles. That sounds like unfortunate news, but it’s not that bad. Besides, don’t we all remember one of Blizzard’s last entries on a console, Starcraft 64? Yeah, it seems PC is the way to go. Link to the full interview after the jump.

Yep, the Diablo 3 train just keeps on rolling. We know there will be five different classes, but Blizzard has only unveiled two of them: the barbarian, which means we might see some previous classes make a return, and the witch doctor, an example of the new ideas for this upcoming game. 1UP has a great write-up about the gameplay demonstration of those two classes, which talks about new elements like destructible environments, the new healing system, and more. So it looks like Blizzard is finally ready to get serious about combating keyloggers. They’re introducing what they’re calling the Blizzard Authenticator. It’s a one-time password token that will require players to enter a six-digit code to login to their account. We’ve always wondered what new things would happen when Blizzard and Activision merged, and we now have at least a sample of the future. For all of you WoW loving fans, maybe you heard of the “I am Murloc” song. Well, starting tomorrow, 360 and PS3 owners with Guitar Hero III can download this track to play on their game, free of cost. A quick visit to Blizzard.com reveals a cryptic new splash screen. For those unfamiliar with Blizzard, this generally means they’re on the verge of announcing something in the coming days. Anywhere you go someone has a different opinion or justification about what it means. Some have confirmed the presence of Frostmourne’s runes, which would mean that the news is about the Warcraft universe.
