Yes, console owners, looks like you have another reason to make use of your PC. In an interview with Joystiq, Jay Wilson, Diablo 3’s lead designer, stated that there are no plans to release the game on consoles. That sounds like unfortunate news, but it’s not that bad. A quick visit to Blizzard.com reveals a cryptic new splash screen. For those unfamiliar with Blizzard, this generally means they’re on the verge of announcing something in the coming days. Anywhere you go someone has a different opinion or justification about what it means. Some have confirmed the presence of Frostmourne’s runes, which would mean that the news is about the Warcraft universe. Blizzard Entertainment revealed its new digital download storefront. The new store will allow you to enter your existing CD keys and download the games at any time. Though World of Warcraft is not included, it is already possible to download the full client through your WoW account page.
